Agreed. To me, the new #1 is One Boston Place. Whenever there are Celtics games or other nationally televised events, I'm embarrassed when the aerial footage shows that tower. It's so basic and dated. It looks like a child designed it with building blocks. Like they had a big rectangular...
No. I understand and agree with you. I just think both IP buildings have an older, dim type of lighting. I'm not saying it should be replaced with some "blinding" type of light, but something more vibrant. The current lighting is very soft.
Agreed. Also, not part of the building, but the Pru has the huge antenna on top, which adds a little something too. I believe the antenna goes up to like 925' or thereabouts. And the Pru's crown is the most noticeable thing on the skyline at night. SST will be no Pru.
It's so weird leaving Boston and going somewhere like New York, Chicago....even Atlanta or Charlotte. Their buildings are so prominently lit up, it's nice to see. Here, our dark skyline just adds to the feeling of sleepy old Boston.
