Double crane action! Great to see more crane activity in the city.
Parking garage is going up quickly as well.
(Don’t mind me accidentally posting this in the Rock Row thread…😂 I guess I was trying to manifest crane activity over there too)

Didn’t realize how prominent the garage would be! Hope the housing is even more prominent in phase two. Roux is building with the future in mind in many senses but they may have overlooked how important housing (eventually) 2,000+ students will be.

Northeastern University’s Portland Campus, home of the Roux Institute will be a hub for learning, collaboration, innovation, and inspiration to promote experiential education, stimulate Maine’s economy and enrich the lives of the community through the resources it offers. The initial phase of the campus will include three buildings, The Alfond Center, Lunder Innovation Labs, and a parking structure. The Alfond Center includes 245,000 sqft of learning, research and collaboration that will house labs, research spaces and classrooms. The Lunder Innovation Labs is a 58,000 sqft historic renovation that will focus on entrepreneurship and incubation programs. The parking garage and daycare facility is a seven story, 600 space precast parking garage with an 8,000 sqft two story daycare facility.
