I'm pissed the previous developer was forced to keep it at the cost of at least a million dollars. The floor heights seriously hamstrung the Elkus design team in that corner of the complex. So many complicated design issues...
Sounds like the groundwork is being laid for cancellation. Too bad Charlie will get all the blame because this is a culmination of years of indescribable mismanagement and overregulation. The actual blame list is too long to print here.

When I was at Elkus, working on the previous iteration of this building, I was repeatedly told that the reason the tower was 40 stories was because of FAA regulations. That was obviously bogus. Still, I'll always wonder why Vornado/Gale opted for that ridiculously complicated cantilever instead...
I don't care what the new cars look like as long as they get the largest volume cars that will fit in the tunnels of each line. London tube trains aren't particularly attractive but I was astonished how many people they could fit at rush hour.
