Boston and almost every other major city in the US has been shrinking in population since the pandemic. Some core cities have shrunk slightly, but its offset by the continued growth of their suburbs. Are the immediate Boston suburbs growing in population or are they shrinking too?
Does approved mean these towers are all definitely going to be built? If yes, its going to be great to add some more density to the Back Bay...even if none of them are 500 footers. Need those 300+ guys for increasing the density.
I can understand downsizing to an 343 or a 350 in the winter. But why go with the gas guzzling 744 over a 748? Especially with the Ukraine-energy crisis in Europe.
This looks the same height as the Marriot and Westin at Copley Place...how tall are those two hotels? I was thinking/hoping that Raffles would be visibly taller than those two.
From 93 north, Winthrop looks taller than MT (which it is but only by like 5 feet)...once the crown and cladding is done, it might hopefully look to be 20-50 feet taller than MT from that vantage point!
