Could someone clarify the "boundaries tightened" initiative concerning residential parking stickers? How would it be different than what exists today, and how it would help?

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Let me play devil's advocate: it was built for the kids. It is in a public park, and it is owned by BPL and when it is improved it will be by far the best venue in the system. I support this but I also agree with the notion that city kids just always seem to get screwed EDIT: owned by BPS

Idea for fixing the housing shortage

I know a lot of people who actually are struggling with the blessing of owning a house here. Think about it. What if you own a house around Boston that you bought 30 years ago, and that you raised a family in. You now are assumed to reap a substantial benefit, but where do you go? And your taxes...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

I think the point is (just like the controversy over the Reggie Lewis Center), that the kids from Boston never seem to come first, even when the facility is in Boston

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Keep in mind that this is in a public park. The NWSL team made a deal with the city that fixes up White Stadium in a way that it is really good for the public too. The stadium that the Revs needs is much larger and would not be able to thread that needle.

    "Dirty Old Boston"

The original Central Artery also predated modern federal highway standards. The lanes were too narrow and there were too many exits and onramps.

I would bet that at least half of people who need services do not come from Boston or gateway cities at all, but from the suburbs.

Well whatever, but I do believe that the developer aimed high, they never sincerely believed it would be built as proposed

    Dorchester Infill and Small Developments

Uninviting at street level, otherwise not bad for a side street off Washington

Every person I have spoken to from Dorchester or South Boston passionately hates the name and is not exactly sure why. Kind of like Whoop

    Hull infill and small developments

Yes, but they just copied the form of what was already there

Nobody actually believed that was going to get built

    General Boston Discussion

So the question that interests me is why is there persistent crime and poverty among such wealth?
