Hey all.

Wondering about some old project that nobody has updated in awhile? Looking for some new info on a long buried thread? Have some new thoughts on a project that that hasn't been discussed in months?

Please don't drag up up old threads just to ask if there is any new info.

If you have new any info on old or stalled projects please feel free to add it into the appropriate thread, no matter how old. Instead please post your questions in this thread and if anyone has any new info we can bring up the old thread and post it in there.

You can also use this thread if you can't find a thread on a new or existing project. We can help find an old thread or start a new one if need be.

Hope this helps.

Edit: To clarify, this isn't a rule per se. Just a polite request.

Hey good idea!

The Bromfield thread has got me a few times this week.

I don't like that idea, but okay. (EDIT)

BTW, the Bromfield news was actual news, albeit a rumor.

Right, the Bromfield thread bump was legit.

This is just kind of a trial balloon.

The problem is that a lot members see this place a strictly an information resource while others see it as a much broader discussion-based forum.

Personally, I lean towards the latter but I get that it really annoys a lot of members when old threads are resurrected with no new info. I'm hoping this will alleviate that a bit.

We'll see how it works out.

Isn't the real problem content-free posts (in any thread) not whether they happen to be in an old thread?

Maybe I pick my old threads more carefully, but I generally get good reactions (I think) with my "it has been a year, any new news on Project X" quotes

Yes, it comes at the cost of people going upthread and potentially answering the older stuff (which, I'll admit, causes some confusion).

Great idea for a trial run.

I, personally, hate having to wait for huge images to load - many times, multiple images on one page. Also, people writing, "Great photo!" over and over.

Yo whatever happened to the Filene's hole? That thread hasn't been updated with any new pics in like forever.

Last I heard they were going to put a Target in there. I think they should leave it as is and use it as a skating rink in the winter and community farm in the summer.

I haven't been to the South Boston seaport since they started all the tunnel construction. Have they finished yet? My family use to love going for popovers at Anthony's Pier 4--I think we'll go back if the construction's over.

Has anyone been over by parcels H and J in the Seaport? Construction was supposed to start in July on the church and office building and August on the hotel. Anything going on over there?

I'm going to bite and assume this is a legit question.
No - nothing new yet on either parcel. As of yesterday still used as parking.

Regarding Parcels H and J: As of yesterday there were notices placed on cars on that side of Seaport Boulevard proclaiming no parking from 8/12 on for Tishman Construction. And the lot where Yotel is going has been empty this week.

Fingers crossed that starts are imminent.

That could be problematic... I suggest Locke-Ober or, if you have a car, one of the Hilltop Steak House locations.

Serious question: is anything happening with the TD Garden towers project? The one on the site of the old Garden, not Basketball City.

From Boston Properties' Q2 2015 Earnings Call two weeks ago (emphasis mine):

"As described in the past, we have a large number of projects in our pre-development pipeline which could still be launched in 2015 including the first and podium phase of North Station consisting of 360,000 square feet of retail and loft space located adjacent to the TD Garden in Boston..."

So it's a maybe that this thing will get started in the next five-ish months. I'm not too hopeful. This was the only mention of the project in the entire call, so my sense is that Boston Properties is pretty much just keeping it on the back burner for now.

In April, it was reported that it could break ground by year's end:

Ginormous Project Next to TD Garden Could Start This Year

It has been board approved:

Boston Redevelopment Authority - The Boston Garden

Now, we wait.

Anyone know what's going on with the Emerald Necklace Route 9 Crossing Project?

That'd be exciting to see the garden project start up for real but something seems off about that project, just like the congress st project. I believe those when theyre fully out of the ground

All Garden employees have been informed that as of 9/1 they can no longer park on the lot. Note this was pushed back a month from 8/1.

I don't know if it's related at all, but there are a few lifts on the lot and a portion of it (closest to the wall, near the center of the lot) looks like it's been pulled up a bit.
