I got this in my private messages:

"From: LadyXAdmin

Important message from the forum administration!"

I?m not aware that briv has had a sex-change operation, so I assume this is a case of phishing or attempted identity theft.

I haven?t opened the message. Did anyone else get it or open it?

How do I get rid of it without opening it?

Help !!

I've been getting these too. Just delete them (maybe after forwarding them to briv)

Isn't it when you open a message like this that the damage gets done?

This is the same pesky spammer/bot that I've been deleting every other day.

If anyone receives any suspicious PMs, let me know. Needless to say, never follow any links or open any attachments sent to you by someone you don't know.

Opening a message can't hurt you. All you are doing is reading it.

As far as I know it is impossible to embed malicious software into a PM. When you open it it will ask for a 'confirmation receipt', just click cancel.

The post will have some stupid message about a virus and prompt you to click on the link. Briv already mentioned this, but it bears repeating DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK! Most likely it is just some sort of search engine optimization for some sketchy online storefront. But worse case scenario is that it could harbor some nasty payload. Better safe than sorry.

I was going to post on this. LadyxAdmin was obvious enough because everyone knows females avoid this site like I avoid Perez Hilton. However, my netbook just went down with that stupid Internet Security 2010 virus and I had this PM the next day so a tiny part of me wanted to click the link. Thankfully, I didn't.

Who is this infifibrore character, and what is free? And what are those oddly shaped characters? I'm hesitant to even look at the thread.

Why are we the preferred target of phishing all of a sudden?

EDIT: Opened the thread. I see he is offering Free Finnish Porn Videos!

he hit me twice, plus a some box comes up saying he requested a confirmation receipt or somesuch......
