Decent turn out so far

I believe I counted 18 members at the meetup's peak. Great to see everyone! It was a really good time! Lots of discussion on many various topics. Thank you to everyone who made it out and hope everyone else enjoyed too.

So that turned out fantastic! Thank you all for coming out and chatting. It was a pleasure meeting everyone. Dave, great work behind the bar! Wish you could have been on the other side for a bit.

Sidenote: apparently there was a rumor that I went to the wrong bar at first. I was actually stuck on a 111 for nearly an hour. When in doubt, don't take the 111 during peak. Sorry I was wicked late.

Anyway, I want to do these on a quarterly/seasonal basis. It's nice to get out from behind the screen. Stay tuned for the next one in a few months. Stay cool guys!

I could've sworn I heard someone else mention that before I did, hahahaha. Apologies if I offended! (Sorry about the 111.)

It was fantastic meeting so many of you. Let's not let the conversation end here! I look forward to seeing you all again in a few months.

Early on, we had a bit of debate over the pronunciation of "archBoston". I suggested that it is derived from "architecture" -- using the voiceless velar stop. But if we insist on a pronunciation that uses the voiceless palato-alveolar affricate, then perhaps this is what the next meetup should look like:

Had a good time! Slightly ironic that the archBoston meet up was in Cambridge IMO.

Hey guys; sorry I missed you all last night, I have friends visiting from out of town. Data texted me last night about the great time you all had, which is no surprise after the fun time I had with all of you at the Stoddard's meetup previously.

If the meet-ups do in fact become quarterly/seasonally (which I'm a huge proponent for), I'm happy to volunteer my place to host a gathering. I bought and renovated a condo in East Boston's Jefferies Point. I live a stone's throw from K.O. Pies at the Shipyard, which is a real gem and the kind of place I imagine many of you would enjoy checking out.

Talk soon!

I say ark Boston, btw, based on it being derived from "architecture." Wasn't there for that discussion.

KO's a great spot, though I do miss its predecessor, Scup's. I was there with out-of-town guests last Friday night.

As an alternative, if we do another meetup later this summer, the patio at Audubon is pretty friggin' cool.
