The board recently suffered an inexplicable and suspicious technical problem and had to be restored. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem, except that because of a phpbb glitch, every one of the board's backups were incomplete and utterly useless. The memberlist, the posts and several other important sections were all absent.

The backup problem has been fixed, but it looks like we have to start over. I can promise everyone that I will take all the necessary precautions to ensure this never happens again.

I hope everyone sticks around and maintains the same level of participation. If this happens the board should continue on without missing a beat.

Thanks guys

Starting over, huh? Oh well.

Thanks for going through all the effort. This place must be turning into something of nightmare for you.

oh thats too bad, nightmare sounds right to me, thats sounds like such a pain in the butt to have had to deal with. thanks for fixing it!

Wow patrick, you are taking this well. I envisioned you curled up in the corner of a room, muttering to yourself, "Gone... It's all gone!"

I guess the forum members now in Boston (myself, alas, no longer included) now have the moral duty to give us nice long picture updates on all the major construction projects going on. ICA anyone?

As soon as I have a day off, I'll go on an architecture bike ride. So if anyone has any requests, just let me know and I'll take some pics of them. Anything within biking distance of JP is fair game.

ICA! ICA! ICA!

Any update will be appreciated. If anything is visible above ground, I'd like to see what's happening at the T construction sites (Kenmore, Copley, Arlington, MGH). Also, if you're in the South Station area, take a few closeups of the new subway kiosks.

Thanks,
justin

It wouldn't email me with the old handle. It's unfortunate I had to add a 2 to the end of the most dynamic name of the forum, BOSDEVELOPMENT.

Did anyone else change names after the switch? let us know so we know who you are!

It's also interesting to see that after 2 days, 60 people have joined. Meaning that (despite the recent problems) 60 "regulars" checked in within a 48 hour period, plus those who havent re-signed up (or never signed up in the first place). Many boards have 500 "members" but only 20 active people or so.

Go us!

RIP ArchitecturalBoston

Long Live archBoston

Diggin' the reflective image of the logo. Very Hollywood. :)

All those expressive pontifications...gone gone gone. **sniff sniff**

Oh they'll be back in no time, don't you worry...
