All members are encouraged to nominate an active proposal for a site in the Boston area not under construction that they believe could make the biggest positive impact on the built environment. (A proposal cannot win two years in a row)

Previous winners:

2010:
Christian Science Center Towers

2009:
Green Line Extension into Sommerville/ Medford

2008
Congress Street Garage Redevelopment

Is it safe to add Copley Place Tower to the list again? They're gonna be starting construction on it soon. Or have things changed.

I'd say the WallStreetNeimanMarcus1percenter Tower is definitely eligible this year, those heartless fucking bastards.

Copley Place Tower
That new mid-rise condo thingy next to the ICA

Can we nominate Congress St Garage again since there's an entirely new proposal?

Arborway/Forest Hills Overpass - surface option proposal.

Arborway/Forest Hills Overpass - surface option proposal.

My favorites in the proposed (some already underway):
1) Copley Place Residences
2) "finishing the Pru"
3) Wentworth Institute of Tech -- Innovation Center on the footprint of the Sweeny Field (athletic field opposite MFA)
4) Novartis "new campus"

Definitely Copley Place tower. Would the Christian Science Center development (mainly the towers... mainly the rumored 512' tower) be eligible? I don't think there is an actual render of the proposed tower yet, but that would really extend the skyline a bit. Maybe it will be next year's winner for this category.

Since there haven't been any concrete plans presented I don't know if this should be allowed. There is a general master plan but that is probably going to change quite a bit. Any one else have thoughts on this?

1. Copley Place Tower
2. Fenway Triangle Infill (former McDonalds site & rumored Super Target mixed-use site)
3. Everything at the Seaport
4. Dudley Square/Melnea Cass overhaul proposals
5. Forest Hills redevelopment
6. Avalon/Exeter apartments (say what you want, I haven't seen any ground broken on this yet)

Anthony's pier 4 redevelopment.

It's tiny and not likely a contender, but I really like 381 Congress St.

Rehab of an existing wharf building for residential use. Retail on 1st floor, including restaurant with outdoor patio facing vast nothingness of Seaport parking lots.
