Boom Towns

Re: The Icon (née Western Ave Residence) | 530 Western Ave | Brighton

Boston is doing quite well and should make more substantial strides over the next couple of years....

in 5-6 years when this cycle reaches maturity,

Boston will begin to pull away with a steady and astonishing demand for tall resident condo units.

i haven't the slightest. idea where any big towers will get built. But Boston has a way of delivering the units, even if it entire new neighborhoods rise up in lock step and begin taking on the 'classic buzzcutt appearance.'

Maybe City Hall will go very aggressive in the West End, Fenway, JP and Mission Hill and deliver some height. Fighting fierce nimby opposition will occur on a different level.

Time will tell.

Can you stop making development sound like some holy crusade? It's really weird.
