Embedded Videos

I just installed a mod that allows members to embed videos directly in their posts. It's very simple to use. You can either post the video url directly or wrap the url around another word as if it were just another link. The video is parsed and embedded automatically.

As of now, the only sites supported are:
Youtube
Google Video
Yahoo
Photobucket

It's possible to add other sources, so if anyone wants to post from a site not listed above, just let me know.

Please be sure that if you post video in any forum other than the "General" forum it is a relevant video to that respective forum or thread topic. Random idiocy will be deleted.

If anyone has any problems, let me know.

Ron, Ive tried to post the link in different ways but it keeps getting recognized as a youtube video. Let me look into it and I'll get back to you soon.
 
Is there a "trick" to making this feature work? I made three posts including videos in the Filene's redevelopment thread. In one post they were magically embedded, in two they were not.

I believe you used the youtu.be link instead of the youtube.com link in the most recent one. Video embedding only works with the original youtube.com/watch link.

Edit: Yes, you did.
