GrandMarc Residence Hall (YMCA) @ Northeastern U | 291 St. Botolph Street | Fenway

Sometimes I look over on this one and think, "It's not so bad, sometimes." Then I get closer to it. BUT from some angles it don't look too shabby:

I feel like the CSC angle (as well as from the Mass Ave/Huntington intersection) are the best as well. That's not saying too much, however.

I still feel the need to apologize for this thing on behalf of NU every time it's brought up.

Are you sure that the new YMCA cornice is not hidden under that box, say for a grand unveiling?

I can't find the link, but there was a story recently about the YMCA receiving some grant money, a bunch of which will be spent on restoring the cornice on the Huntington Ave. building.
 
I think it looks nice from that view, but it needs a complimentary structure to balance it out. It's all alone out there.
