Millennium Tower (Filene's) -Discussion and Photo Thread

Wait, it's already for sale? Weird how there are no interior photos either.

I'd like to see what it looks like as much as anyone else but there's nothing out of the ordinary about the lack of interior pictures. It’s not uncommon for high end property listings, especially those owned by relatively prominent/public individuals, to not include interior pictures. I’m sure they’re available to qualified buyers' brokers.

Edited to add: From the listing ....

"Detailed marketing material to be distributed upon receipt of buyer pre qualification."

Thank God-- Our beloved ex-Mayor Menino gave Millennium Group that 15 Million in tax breaks. They sure needed it.

It's not a matter of 'need' They had the city over the barrel. They gave the city a choice, $15M or hole in the ground for next 20years+. Your Choice.

I don't like it either but I wanted that fucking hole filled in too.

Then why didn't the city just the tax breaks to Vornado's group Steven Roth in the first place?

It wasn't theirs to "give". It is private property.

I realize it's 4000 square feet, but still... does that deck on the Grand Penthouse look very usable for ordinary entertaining, etc.? It seems so narrow. It also doesn't look like they ran hookup lines for an outdoor kitchen, which... maybe people who typically buy these don't want that, but it seems like a no-brainer if you were actually going to make it your home.

Does anyone know if they ever did the inside build-out? I know the plans were submitted with that racetrack config. I'll be very interested once those Powerballs realize they are failing at their one job ;) .
