Well then, now we know how long it takes for new trees to create a canopy. I remember last year thinking man the greenway doesnt look “new” anymore...in a good way, but this year its official we have a canopy and theyre like mid growth at this point. Trees are great, mature trees are greater.

EDIT: The first one looks like it's the sidewalk area next to South Station between the trains and buses. Is that considered part of the Greenway? I don't think it is.

The second one is looking at the trees next to the lowrise portion of the Fed on Summer Street, not the Greenway.

This is one of my all time favorite pics by you.

There's gonna be sometime in late summer when the air is crisp, the sky is deep blue, 1 Dalton is cladded

and the trees are still profoundly green. Then the colors. And we'll have your best shot from your secret spot!

Thank you.

Credit Boston02124 for the spot. I never would have known about it except he posted from the place 20 times before I finally dragged myself over there!

So I've been doing a full watch-through of Cheers slowly over the last few years. It seems like before Season 9 they came to Boston and shot a lot of new establishing shots, and also a bunch of cold opens right out on Beacon Street with different cast members. So now they have a shot of Beacon Hill for scenes at Frasier's house, and they got some nice shots of the old Garden at night with Green Line trains going in front of it.

But to my surprise, when they cut to a scene at City Hall, they used this:

So we know where they came down on that debate.
