South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

FWIW, "South Station Development" is on the agenda for Massport's Board tomorrow. It's in executive session and they don't post slides for a month anyway, but it's on there.

So let's add the East Tower parcel, and include that as a 2 for 1 deal

Maybe if you keep rehashing pointless crap and obnoxiously quoting yourself, tall buildings will start magically appearing?

Hey I think we hit the 32 hour mark! So we were due for another Doom and Gloom post. Starting the clock!

Well if we want something to "woe is me" about construction development project progress in Boston, 2 Supertalls topped out in NYC this week (1 Vanderbilt and Central Park Tower - on the left below).

How did Massport get involved with South Station?? or is it just something perfunctory about FAA heights

Massport is involved in the land swaps with USPS. Even if SSX doesn't happen, they might still want to do the swap and the development on Dorchester Avenue would still tie in to SST.

This project is a must. Would be awesome to add another 650+ building to the downtown core to go with MT and Winthrop.

Very much a rookie here so forgive my terminology...

The concrete caps on the pilings between the train tracks are being removed leaving the steel exposed. Noticed this yesterday for the first time.

I work very near to SS and we’re being told by building management construction will be starting soon.

An actual update posted in this thread? Thank you!

Construction on what? The tower?

Unclear to me what but there is definitely evidence of some site work going on already and building management has been made aware of “work” starting soon.
