The archBoston Meetup Thread

May 20th. Does 6:00 PM work for most people? Not too close to end of the workday so people are rushing to get from their job but not too late either.
 
I have a prior engagement the 20th, the 21st is available.
 
Either works for me. Looking forward to finally meeting everyone to put faces to names. As far as bars go, my preference is the Tam. 😎
 
It won't be the Tam. I love the place and go there regularly, but it's got issues. I don't know if we have any female members of aB or we have any that might be coming to the meetup, but I would feel really bad making them use the Tam bathrooms. Hell, I feel gross having to use the guys room there and I am willing to put up with a lot.
 
That time should work for me... would prefer any place with a good burger.
 
I love JM Curley, but it's very crowded at that time and there isn't really the ability to accommodate a large group.

EDIT: It seems others have had a different experience than me with large groups, so I'm certainly in favor of trying it as their food and drink selection are both very good.

On a Wednesday after work? My co-workers and I go there for Friday beers after work and the place is often empty then. I think we could take over the whole place on a Wed without incident.

We should def let them know we are coming though.
 
How late will you be there? I don't think I'll make it before 8.
 
Same day and time as Beer & Transit. Ugh, now I have to make a choice. :(

No in regards to reservation/warning. We're likely looking at <10 people. The last one of these we did it was pretty much a grab a beer at the bar and stand among a group of other people talking... not very formal at all. People want to eat complicates things a smidge I suppose.

That said and now factoring in that some people would rather go to B&T and that we're hammering the details out for this exceptionally late it might be better to punt until some time in mid-June when we get all our ducks lined up and can get a board admin to put a proper thread in the Events forum.

Thoughts?

I think we were at Stoddard's for about 3 hours last time so you'd probably arrive for the tail end.

I agree that would be better. Maybe June 11 or June 18? (Thursday)
 
A Facebook event might also be helpful for an exact count.
 
Beer & Transit is being postponed, possibly by a week.

I might be able to make JM Curley earlier than I expected. We'll see.
