We don't want SHADOWS over out PARKS. Which tower should we look to block next. Gotta protect the parks and not turn Boston into Manhattan.

All of the height fetishists should move to MANHATTAN

This is such a dumb thread. Obviously we need to block all of them

Agreed. We can't have these glass monstrosities in the sky ruining the feel of our small city.

Plus what about parking? I want to be able to drive my private car into the middle of Boston without paying an outrageous price. I'm scared of public transportation and Ubers.

These dumb people trying to take our parking spots for poor people in buses smh.

Manhattan wouldn't be the Manhattan of today without the 800+ acres of central park.

Boston can afford to try to keep shadows off its 100 acres in the middle of the city. A city is defined by its people, not its buildings. Boston would not be a great city without the Boston Common and Boston Public garden. London, Paris, New York... the great cities have great parks which people protect with their lives.

This is very true. I don't like what is going on with the outside of the surroundings of Boston.
Everything is getting ripped up.

They should have built a giant SEAPORT PARK in the middle of the city.

This is a logical fallacy. Name one park that people don't go to because there are too many shadows.

Post Office Square (Leventhal Park) is one of the most popular and most loved in all the city, and it is SURROUNDED by tall buildings (which also happen to provide the people who patronize this park.)

My BackYard is also a park if you think about it, and that's why I say to all towers: Not In!
--every resident of the West End.

We can agree to keep some places sacred, like the Common and Public garden, but not every patch of grass is a park, or else this joke becomes a reality.

The West End is the BEST part of the city. We have PRIVACY.

2nd best, Harbor Towers with our POOL and our PRIVATE waterfront.

TBH, there are plenty of times of the year when I'm *seeking out* shadows to bask in...
