Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi on behalf of their firm, Weiss/Manfredi, will be presented with the 9th Veronica Rudge Green Prize in Urban Design in recognition of the Olympic Sculpture Park, which they designed at the Seattle Art Museum. This is the first time the winning project has been located in the U.S.
Following the ceremony, Weiss and Manfredi will present a lecture about their winning project. The event will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on December 5th in Gund Hall?s Piper Auditorium at the GSD. The lecture will be accompanied by an exhibition and a newly published book about the Olympic Sculpture Park. The $50,000 prize and lecture are sponsored by the School?s Department of Urban Planning and Design.
