What are you listening to now?

^ I just saw Above & Beyond at Madison Square Garden a couple weeks ago. Can't say I'm into trance but my girl is friends with Tony and Paavo so I get to hang out backstage and they're really cool guys. Plus, it was my first time going to MSG!

Huge fan of their weekly show, always eagerly awaiting it every Saturday like a child on Christmas, "Group Therapy" indeed. Always something fresh and original, and has certainly turned me into a trance and deep house fan!

^ See, I don't know what it is but while I loooooove deep house, I just can't get into trance. I guess I'm picky like that.

That was my favorite band growing up but I was underwhelmed. Well not really, I wasn't expecting much. It just sounded way too much like left overs from Division Bell to my liking; I'd just rather listen to Division Bell. Also since Storm Thorgerson died the album cover looks like a bad knock off. It's a great treat for hardcore fans (believe me I have hundreds of hours of bootlegs) but not something I ever need to hear twice.

I CANT STOP listening to this remix of Gary Numan's Cars.

As if it wasn't a good enough song already...

Also kinda-sorta unrelated. I just bought a pair of skull candy earbuds. I always figured the brand was all marketing hype, but holy shit. These are the cheap ones and they blow some DJ headphones I've used out of the water. The bass response is out of this world (for any headphones, but especially earbuds!), and the high end isn't bad either.

I've actually started listening to more music with them vs my way too expensive Emotivia reference system.

It's funny, I also have so many bootlegs (mostly not backed up and on cd-roms as data files, hopefully not hopelessly scratched up)... theyre one classsic rock i listened to so, so much and then since some point in college hardly ever listen to anymore. I heard some of this Endless River stuff on ZLX this week. It was ok, but I also didnt like Division Bell much back in the day... I think once Waters left, they got a little flimsy.

Frontline Assembly a moment ago. Now Devo. Probably Depeche Mode on the way home from work.

^Bug in various vBulletin boards with the way the YouTube URL is auto-converted into an embedding. Don't think it's at all specific to AB since I've seen it happen a number of places that run the same board software after that auto-convert feature got added.

If you see that happen on the Preview post, rewrite the text first then paste in the YT link as very last move before hitting Post. Note that simply cut/pasting the borked linkified text from one post field to another will produce the same result since it grabs all the same hidden text link tags from the botched auto-convert. Copy/pasting it into a blank Windows Notepad then copy/pasting into a 100% clean post field will ensure that it's 100% plain-text.

Annoying, yes. But I don't think there's anything that can be done until vBulletin patches the YT embed bug.

Love me the smell of some freshly-acquired concert bootlegs. . .
