Nominate what you believe is the most detrimental vacant lot in the Boston area.

Previous winner:

2009
Former Filene's

Can we nominate Filene's again?

Filene's.

All of the Seaport.

All of the Greenway ramp parcels, maybe?

The parking lot at Newbury & Dartmouth has always bothered me.

The strips of suburban grass next to the Turnpike where the Columbus Center should have been or along the Mass Ave. bridge between Newbury and Boylston.

Hayward (?) Place, the pre-Filene's shame of DTC.

I second the Columbus Center site. Say what you will about Filenes, but at the end of the blame game it more or less comes down to a fluke of timing. Columbus Center, on the other hand, represents to me the real lasting M.O. of development in this city.

How could we forget the former Boston Garden plot?

City Hall Plaza

Empty lot at Merrimack and Causeway streets, in front of State Service Center

Fan Pier between the federal courthouse and the ICA

I have to go with our previous champ Filenes. But I am also downtown all the time which my vote is tainted.
