The new theater / performance venue (The Platform) has its grand opening to the public Saturday, November 7. It appears they have acts, performers, events etc. with tickets now on sale well into next year, with some really great programming (Joshua Redman Quartet!!)...

My first time actually checking out the Bow Street pedestrian plaza in Harvard Square! Quite nice. A few local restaurants are using it for patio space, and there's some public seating areas and plenty of space.

Third Street is blocked off for a few days as they lift up all sorts of mech to the rooftop:

Not specific to Boston, but I thought this was an interesting video on the decline (perceived or actual) of nightlife in North American cities:

Could have fooled me into thinking this was adaptive re-use of an old factory building. I think this looks great, and it's encouraging to see more housing units coming to this part of Allston.
