With sports betting now set to be legalized (or at least on the path). This property has become perhaps the most anticipated in the commonwealth.
I assume they will pivot to add an entire new area to the casino.
Did anyone go to the hearing tonight? I truly think the redesign is unacceptable for where this is strategically located. Entrance to Boston from the North is this black and red box? How does developers live with themselves?
Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District
Money talks.
They know they're capable of something better than this. The returns are what they care about most though. I personally think those returns will be higher if they build something beautiful, nicer than 1 Dalton. A market moving tower...
The Towers have no relationship with each other whatsoever. This is insanely bad. How does Boston continue to build this garbage?
I actually like the new design but the condo tower should have the same complimentary design.
Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District
Why does every rendering look different? This could have been infinitely better.
This screams cost consolidation. I wish we took a lower bid.
Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium
MLS would never let it happen. The league is committed to it's franchises playing in majority-owned, grass field stadiums.
Definitely not bump worthy - this information is all over the net. I did see some Providence talk which I'll post when I...
Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District
We need to mobilize - direct information for the presentation.
In the meantime, who do I/we contact to fight this garbage? Email or phone number would be great.
I emailed the design team - didn't get a response back.
I feel strongly that this development has the opportunity to really shift the opinion of Kendall as living-hub and entertainment destination. One thing I focused on:
Whatever the tallest building is - create a public 270 degree...
There is a difference between retaining your culture and a little cleanup. Chinatown in NYC is significantly nicer than Boston because a little bit of money was put into it, buildings and facilities were improved with that, etc. It has nothing to do with pushing everyone out.
