Perhaps, but if I was in charge of the PPH and had some money to spend (ha!) I'd make him my Portland-Can-Be-So-Much-Better writer...it would be a brilliant and must-read weekly column, assuming he could keep up that mix of anger and fun writing style.

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

^^ Exactly; New England is more of a single entity than many states are. And it's really thought of that way by people who live in other parts of the country because of the accent, sports teams (like you mentioned) and historical architecture.

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

The funny thing is, in almost any other part of the US, New England would be one state, not six.

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

Doesn't the off ramp from route 3 to the mall in Nashua actually 'start' in Massachusetts? I just love it when people shout things out at public meetings with their "common sense" opinions.

    Boston and High Speed Rail

I was just wondering why it would take 45 minutes from Boston to Portsmouth but only 15 minutes from Portsmouth to Portland. Different speed limits? Traffic limitations, perhaps?

One hour to Portland but 45 minutes to Portsmouth? So 15 minutes from Portsmouth to Portland?

MBTA to serve T.F. Green next month

I believe MARC has long-term plans to get their service up to Newark, Del. at some point, not sure when it'll happen...that, of course, would link MARC with SEPTA leaving only the Shoreline East (or even Metro North!?) to meet up with the T. Imagine if the T extended north into New Hampshire. :)
