It was also a major public funding project. The Greenway would be just as amazing as the High Line Park, which, by the way, truly is beautiful, if the public donated money as much money to it. The entire issue with The Greenway = $$$!!!

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

So, you're saying that Belkin allowed only one architect, to submit proposals? Why, then, did they advertise for architects to submit renderings? It's odd. Personally, I don't think this thing will even get built, at least not for many years.

Why is it that San Francisco got multiple proposals/renderings and Boston got one?

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

 He has!? That's great! But who will run? What this city needs is somebody who actually has a big city vision. Somebody like Michael Bloomberg.

My mistake. Millennium Park is the top tourist destination in Chicago. Chicago was the number ten tourist destination in the country. Sorry 'bout that.

Millennium Park has been in the top three tourist destinations in The USA since its opening. Imagine the amount of dollars that brings to the city.

My comments are mainly directed toward the people who are complaining that we're building a park at all.

You people are a bunch of miserable complainers. The Greenway has had a very rough start, I'll agree. But the idea of it is great. It's not going to "suburbanise" Boston. That's ridiculous. I wonder how many people might have said that when Central Park was being built. Ok, maybe not a fair...

    New Lansdowne St.

Actually, I just reread the article. Lyons is going to build a 2,500 person capacity club. Then I googled Avalon's capacity. Here's what I got: So, it's not going to be that much bigger. Basically, it sounds like he'll join Axis and Avalon together. That's fine. I've seen many shows at both...

There's still The Paradise Rock Club up on Comm. Ave. It's not as big as Avalon, but it tends to get similar bands. I'm wondering about this "movable stage". Maybe that will be a plus?
