I was there last weekend on business and was very impressed. Nice mix of businesses, hotels, restaurants (City Works) great cityscape layout with string lighting. There were so many people walking around, very lively. Only drawback was the tight traffic flow but other than that, very impressed.

FAA height limit is very restrictive in the downtown / financial district. I think it's in the 650' range. But agreed, to impose a height limit of 500' may be a non-starter for most developers. Did the article mention why ... and please don't even mention the damn shadow on the common BS.

I thought Massport's goal was to dramatically reduce the traffic flow to Logan by promoting public transit so this completely contradicts the mandate from just a few years ago. My takeaway is that they need the $$ that a parking garage will generate to sustain Logan's budget.
and that's your example of how people are treated like crap? I can think of much worse. When I use to visit dtx, those steps were never used. I suspect it may have been put in place when there were summer activities (street performers) in the immediate area.
