As someone who lives in the neighborhood I have to say that having an Eataly in that location would be one of the greatest things to ever happen to me! There is nothing finer than drinking wine while grocery shopping. Ok, there are a few things finer but this is prety high on my list.
Re: 45 Province St
I think above ground parking is on floors 3-6. The 2nd floor is resturant space as well as our dining room, library, etc. Residential units start on the 7th floor.
Re: 45 Province St
The garage is both above ground and below. Residents cars go down. I think most other cars go up.
The lobby entrance is to the left of the parking area. I suspect the entrance you are looking at is the one to the right. That entrance is for a seperate stack of units...
Re: 45 Province St
BostonUrbEx- I live there. We do have a lobby and the building is actually very friendly and social. There is somehting going into one of our retail spaces soon. I can't remember the name of it but I think it's an upscale smoothie place (an oxymoron?).
We have a dining...
Re: One Bromfield (28-story tower @ DTX)
For the record, I don't mind the height at all. Its not the height that's going to block my view, its the width. That sai I'm not categorically opposed to the building, I'm in favor of almost anything that will cause a street sweeper to run down...
Re: One Bromfield (28-story tower @ DTX)
Coorsen is the same guy quoted on the DTX thread about starting a neighborhood association that excludes renters. That guy is a real piece of work. I don't think the Abbey Group is at all concerned about competition from a rental building. I think...
Re: 45 Province St
I love the banter. The inside is really nice, far nicer than I'd envisioned when I signed my P&S two years ago. A much hipper deisgn than many of the other high end buildings in the city. Celeste Cooper did most of the interior design work and Dennis Duffy appears to have...
Re: 45 Province St
I live at 45 Province. Its true that only 13 units have closed to date but my understanding is that there are more closings to come over the summer for which the developers have signed P&S and non-refundable deposits. The developers have been pretty flexible in allowing...
You raise a good point about dining. Even of the restaurants that are open in the evening (Marliave, Bina, Blu), the Marliave is the only one that is open in the afternoon on weekends. I think anyone coming in from the burbs to shop on a Saturday is going to want a nice place to eat...
Re: 45 Province St
Anyone have anny idea what this is about. I found it doing a goole serach on 45P.
"Building permit details: Location 45 Province
Issue date: April 10, 2009
Description: INSTALL ILLUMINATED PROJECTING WALL SIGN"
I wonder if it couldd be related to the big black wall.
