Out of interest, I see that these are all rental units, so no private individual can buy them, I assume its some private equity investment? Like a 2 bed on the top floor with the best views and location in the entire city, could be a $2m property, what will that rent for?
Yes I would think something between a corner store and a supermarket. A place where one could buy the ingredients for a sandwich, similar to rosemont. Walking to whole foods is a pain to just get something small. The Rosemont east end is an 18 minute walk one way.
Thanks, there is a lot of development planned around us(chestnut and Cumberland) over the next few years, excited to see how things develop. I'm really hoping the demand brings more retail and grocery.
Great to see the porta potty rising above the Portland skyline. My wife and I can see it from the rooftop on chestnut street, we often question how they pump it out up there and how one porta potty serves the whole crew.
I am suddenly interested in this as I recently purchased my first home, very close to this site. I think it will only enhance the area, the local businesses will need all the non seasonal footfall they can get after recent tumult. I also think though, that these will not really be affordable...
