    New Haven

It's about damn time. That area has been underutilized since I went to college near there in the late 90s.

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

I always felt like NB could be the Mass version of Portland, Maine, but whenever I go there, the downtown can be rather dead. I hope that changes.

    Citgo Sign

Well, it's still a symbol of the company. Flip it upside down and we can pretend it represents Star Trek!

    Citgo Sign

    It's my best bad idea!

    Citgo Sign

Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon, but I really love to keep a sign in that area, but not advertise for a subsidiary of a Venezuelan oil company. While they're moving it, maybe change the sign to say "Welcome to Boston" or something that will have a bigger impact on the community.

    MA Liquor Laws

I think this is a good step in the right direction. I actually believe that cities/towns or even the state should not have any control as to how many licenses get distributed because eventually the market will decide how many establishments a city or town can handle. I believe the state should...

And they had two turntables and a microphone to make the announcement.

    Augusta, Maine

I haven't really explored Augusta in years (ever?), but Mainers always talk about how "bad" it is. Is it "bad" or is it just "Maine bad."

Multi-Family Zoning Requirements for MBTA Communities

One little nitpick... Not all of us have subscriptions to every online source posted here. Could whoever posts something that is behind a paywall kindly give a short summary of what they are posting?

Massachusetts State Flag (we need a better state flag)

I know it might not be the intent of the flag, but I'm never comfortable seeing a cross (or any other religious symbol) on a flag. We are a secular state in a (supposedly) secular nation and there shouldn't be any symbolism that could be misunderstood to mean the contrary.

    Wind Turbines in Mass

I'm having a hard time responding without turning this into a raging political rant. It just doesn't make sense to me. Even if you want more oil production, isn't making the US "energy independent" inclusive of many forms of energy production?

Multi-Family Zoning Requirements for MBTA Communities

As a Billerica native, I'm actually kind of surprised. I'm sure there will be lawsuits, and I'm willing to bet that the old timers on the Billerica Residents facebook page are losing their minds.

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

<------This wannabe wise man would love that type of cushy job, but alas I'm not qualified and I don't live anywhere near the city. Still, it bothers me to see money getting pissed away on a questionable investment that doesn't benefit the city.

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

A wise man once said... But seriously, rebuilding the stadium to make it nicer for local HS football teams seems like a good idea. But I think the women's team would have a better time if they were in a state of the art stadium that will (supposedly) be built in Everett.
