Artificial turf does not enhance anyone's quality of life. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Enough in this world is artificial already and in no way enhances the human experience.

I am working on a large project behind here so see this place often. So much more could have been done to make this a standout project but it's just there. Nothing impressive about it.

As we all should be aware by now, until anything is put out for bid for construction and often even after, actual designs are fluid and can change significantly. I am keeping an open mind about this project. From a design perspective I actually kind of like it. We will see if that changes...

Except you are forgetting that aesthetics is a major influence on user experience. I've been a designer (landscape, interior and exterior, graphic) for over 45 years. A mis-step in design of any one aspect of a project can ruin the entire experience for the end user.

This is an example of horrible design.
