No Charley, I would sincerely rather see them torn down. It reminds me of how relentlessly the good people get screwed. Sorry to derail the thread.

This does more for the city than any skyscraper

^I remember seeing the martini glass proposal in the Globe but I could be wrong. If the church in East Boston is Catholic, I won't be excited. I can't stand to see what the poor have worked for and have given to the church turned into mere decorations

    "Dirty Old Boston"

A few parts of the Seaport have not learned the lesson. Some open space only looks good in theory or on paper.

Boston done in Sim City 4!

Dorchester Bay City (nee Bayside Expo Ctr.) | Columbia Point

The problems with the traffic circle and the physical state of the former Columbia Station long predate the desirability of this parcel. As recently as September 2021 a BU professor died falling off a dilapidated staircase next to the station.

Without defending the developer, it is ultimately the MBTA's fault that the station is in this condition considering how many people use it now "Who the heck came up with Dorchester Bay City?" Because calling it Columbia Point City would sound insane to the locals.
