Portland Foreside | 58 Fore Street | Portland

Has anyone heard any news of this building getting started? I have not been to Portland this calendar year, and curious if it gets built. It appears this entire project is limping along.

200 Federal Street | Residential Tower | Portland

I really hope this gets built as rent is through the roof in Portland. Is the Tim Soley 20+ story building still in the works? I know they mention it in the PPH article. I find it extremely frustrating how citizens of Portland fuss about parking, when any successful city is short for public...

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

I was at Market Basket in Manchester a few days ago and asked one of the district managers when the Plymouth, NH store will open. He responded by explaining that the Plymouth store will not open until the Westbrook store is complete or near completion since their Maine liquor license will expire...

Portland, ME - The Existing Environment

There are two hotels being built in the downtown area. One is in the mill yard (a Hilton Tru hotel) and the a Marriot residence across from the arena. Both should be open by the fall. I totally agree with you on Concord is much more appealing than Manchester or Nashua. Manchester continues to...

Portland, ME - The Existing Environment

Manchester wishes to be like Portland when it comes to commerce, culture, and just having the urban feel. I live right off Elm street in Manchester and it is a great city, but it's urban core is lacking the foot traffic and bustle of Portland. Portland is such a great city in the sense of quirky...

    Covid-19 and Portland's Development Future

Is phase 2 in the rendering on this page? Or is that what is already under construction?

    Hobson's Landing | Aloft Hotel | 383 Commercial Street | Portland

Does the renderings of Hobson's landing show all 3 phases? Or is that only the first two phases in the renderings? Nice pics Corey!

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I was speaking with a Market Basket regional manager who stated once the Westbrook store is up and running they are looking at property on the Peninsula for a new store. I am curious if they would go near the old port or the plaza near St.John's street.

    Canal Plaza Tower | Portland

Anything on the peninsula should be fair game if it is next to old Port. I really like the rendering.

Ehh reminds me of Walmart logo!

    Worcester Ballpark & Redev

Yes, but New England is a different/unique when it comes to minor league sports, both Portland, Lowell, and Pawtucket rank at the top/near the top of their leagues in attendance. I am guessing they will be able to get an extra 1-2k with the lawn seats/standing room.

    Worcester Ballpark & Redev

I would be surprised if the "Woo Sox" don't sell out most of their home games when they move to Worcester. I am curious if this stadium can have soccer matches or football games too during the off season. Maybe Worcester can now lure the Revolution too.

    Worcester Ballpark & Redev

I love the look of this stadium so far. My main concern is why the capacity is only 10k?? Same capacity as McCoy stadium. I was thinking they could have maybe had 12-15k for seating as I am sure tickets are going to be popular for at least the first 10 years of Polar Park. Just seems very short...

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Quite disappointing in the height of these buildings on Fore street. Too bad there will not be any high rise (10 plus stories) on this site. The culture in urban Maine is terrified of anything with height. This project has tons of potential but the anti-development groups have city hall and...

    Worcester Developments

Please note when looking at a cities square miles that you don't include water. Boston is 49 sq miles of land (roughly the same land area as San Fran) and Portland Maine is only 21 sq miles of land. Worcester is compact, tons of triple Decker's and row houses, the city of seven hills, very...
