Eclectic, self-professed engineer with a non-traditional and highly eclectic background in many aspects of Architecture, Engineering, and construction. My education is quite non-linear as well in some respects as my first degree was a BS Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA in Environmental Design - Urban and Regional Planning/Landscape Architecture Theory followed by one year in art school training at the New England School of Art and Design (now absorbed into Suffolk University as its Art College), followed yet again by an AE Architectural Engineering Technology at the Benjamin Franklin Institute (BFI) of Technology (this 2-year program was quite rigorous and in line with curriculum offerings at Wentworth, but the Architectural Engineering Technology degree as it was when I went to school there is no longer offered at the BFI ). After this, I have taken graduate-level courses in Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics/Industrial Safety at U Mass., Lowell, engineering courses at Boston University, and an extensive array of Building Design and Construction CEU classes at Northeastern University, CAD classes, REVIT, Solid Works, and the like. Despite not having the traditional BS Engineering, I earned an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Civil Engineering Discipline, having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in one successful attempt (along with submission of 4-years of documentation submitted to the Board of Engineering Examiners proving engineer-level work under the aegis of PE Registered Engineers) but again, I have extensive knowledge of HVAC-Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Engineering as well.
