is there an entire separate building going in on the corner (based on what appears to be foundation work in IMG_7097)?
 
They did a great job here. Instead of some run of the mill blue glass cubes, I think going for two international style towers really nailed it. The black facades and industrial windows and industrial steel look is a perfect contrast to the art deco landmark center.
 
Anyone's guess at how old those 2-storey brick buildings/row houses are on that side street?

14-16 Aberdeen, I'll guess as late 19th Century. Looks to be a converted firehouse, or similar use. Unlike the others, no basement, no gable, different lot size on the Aberdeen frontage, and, from the aerials, much different building in the rear..
12-8 Aberdeen these look to be 1920s-1930s. They either copied the brick bond of 14-16, or 14-16 was rebuilt to match 12-8.
