In that pic, you can also see the old Orane Line El running past the Holy Cross Cathedral. As kids, we rode that line all the time to the barber school that our dad sent us to, to get a haircut!!!!!!!! :)

^ Yea its crazy when you look at old pictures of cities how dense they were. Every lot was filled in 100 years ago. You look at cities like detroit or houston that have lots of parking lots and empty spaces today and they were super dense before the car.

What makes this photograph even more enjoyable is what's NOT in it: Storrow Drive had yet to be built, nor had the hideous Bowker Overpass.
