Lyra (née The Huntington) | 252/258/264 Huntington Avenue | Fenway

I don't remember that, exactly, but it sounds real.

There was a similar shoulder dance going on east of Mass Ave when National was proposing the Midtown redevelopment at the same time FCCS was going to redevelop the plaza to restore a path to the Mother Church through the reflecting pool, add an elevator to the Sunday School building and so on. The BRA and BFD had strong concerns about navigating Huntington with two major projects happening directly opposite the other.
I remember the plan to wreck the reflecting pool! Glad that never happened.

So are they just going to leave the concrete core sticking up exposed partially above the two opposing sloped roofs? Why wouldn't they just make the screens a bit higher on both sides to cover the core? It looks odd and unfinished like this. I hate when there are these details not present in renders but rear their ugly heads in the built product. I like most other aspects of the design of this building but this will now forever draw my eyes there and (somewhat) ruin an otherwise nice addition to the skyline.

I'm very happy with the way the sides of this tower look. I was preparing for something more similar to what happened to 45 Province Street.

I love this tower but I’m hoping that those white PVC pipes aren’t going to show.

Someone should climb both of those towers and spray paint all the visible shit above the roofline black. I feel like its a self own to have them in extremely contrasting colors to blue glass, I think once people saw the public service thats been done in the morning nobody would get in trouble lol.

Kind of like how 45 provinces blank wall is black on an all red tower when they could have just painted or clad it red… so in a similar light itd be nice if someone hijacked 45 provinces window washing cart in cover of night and with a paint roller and some red paint cleared that issue up 😂. Why arent these ppl who go around graffitiing their name all over the place putting their skills to good use??
