Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

TAP Air Portugal is going to extend its seasonal non-stop service from Porto to run year round (from October 25, 2026 through March 28, 2027). 2 times per week using A321neo equipment.

Delta is adding service to Halifax. Beginning June 13, they will operate once weekly service using E175 equipment. I seem to remember Delta running service to Halifax around 2009-2010ish before dropping it.

I heard that United Airlines is buying up a bunch of 787 Dreamliners from Boeing for it's future lineup, possibly to replace the 757's & 767's.& older 777-200's :)

United is leasing Airbus 321neos to replace the 757s. These are being called 'coastliners', for transcontinental service.
See: ,https://simpleflying.com/united-air...n-flights-premium-coastliner-airbus-a321neos/

The 100 787s are primarily, if not exclusively for intercontinental routes. They are replacing 777-200s.

The original order was for 787-9s, but recently, United converted 56 of the 787-9 model orders to the larger capacity 787-10.

This was the year for Bermuda to come back. Save Halifax for 27.*

Seriously though, Bermuda seems like one of Delta’s biggest holes right now considering BOS-BDA being a historically strong market, accessible with an A220, a relatively short roundtrip and the competition being somewhat weak.

* Newport Bermuda Race even years, Marblehead Halifax odd

It does seem a no-brainer but I wonder if Delta is waiting for BermudAir to go away. It may be awhile since Boston is one of the island carrier's only routes that treads water.

I was checking May and June roundtrip fares. BermudAir is routinely $390. JetBlue is often double that.

JetBlue is making some service cuts in Boston.

Seasonal service to Asheville will not return for the 2026 season. This also marks their departure from the market entirely.
Service to Dallas/Ft. Worth is being cut as of March 12 as they shift their lone DFW route from Boston to FLL.
Service to Phoenix will be suspended from May 27 through September 29.
Seasonal service to Sacramento is cancelled for the 2026 run.

Delta has axing their return of non-stop service to Tel Aviv. Service was due to return October 24.
