Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

Noticed something related to Kendall Common when browsing a separate design review presentation for 105 Broadway nearby, which are some detailed plan views of adjacent areas of Kendall Common:

^See for instance pg. 18 in above. Looks like they know about the footprint and massing of the R3 residential tower being proposed for Kendall Common. Intriguing. I wonder when that will be shared in more detail with the public.

Based on the current pace, it seems like this will still take several months for this to come down?

Has anyone timed out the demolition rate on the old Volpe? Is it going to be all done by the end of 2026?
Don't know, but I might guess it is about to speed up.
In this week's construction update, they are saying the demolition is about to change modes to "high reach demolition" approach:
- Tower building high-reach demolition preparation activities will start. Removal of the formwork/scaffolding climbing system at the top of the building and the hoist (external construction elevator) on the east side of the tower building in the center of the property will begin.
...
- Debris, window frame and equipment removal to prepare for high reach demolition at the tower building.

Neat description of "high reach demolition"
