Liberty mutual tower is still one of the best “towers” of the last 25 years imo or maybe even 50 (I think the hancock is over 50 by now right?). Idk how that even happened or we got so lucky, it seems nyc only gets blessed with new buildings like that, but damn its a stunner, especially from its different sides like its flat iron corner of the rounded side. Very nice.

Bonus points for its night lighting.

One Congress is the most meaningful addition -- of many -- these past 10-15 years. Finally a world-class, non-puritanical/conservative design on a tall (tall-ish...) highrise. And the night-time lighting is stunning.

I hope a new construction boom happens sooner than later and that we get some other home-runs (Copley Tower, Aquarium Tower...).

OK this barely qualifies for this thread but I don't know where else to put it. These come from the Ylvis parody video "Massachusetts" that went viral in 2013 and I've been wondering FOR YEARS where these shooting locations are, thinking in my travels all over the state I'd eventually see them but it hasn't happened and now I want to know. Thanks in advance

And just in case you haven't watched in like a decade, it's still absolutely hilarious and worth the rewatch:

Did some Google Maps sleuthing and followed my instincts, and behold, top one is Fore River, the plant is on the Quincy side: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7N8PpYZeX1Sk2Lbb7

The second one is going to be much harder to place. Looks like a transfer station of some sort, with the pipe coming out of the ground to the left. Honestly, I'm surprised they used any actual MA locations for filming (beyond obvious landmarks), it feels like a lot of effort for a sort of one-note joke.
