The bill would allow employees that are offered a parking benefit and commute via non-auto modes the option to decline the parking benefit in exchange for an equivalent value in cash. This would both directly incentivize alternative modes by employees and disincentivize employers from subsidizing parking/driving. It was unanimously recommended out of committee and is now sitting with Ways and Means. Very worth a phone call if your state senator sits on that.
