Roux Institute Campus Development | Portland

Best view that I can find of the finished product which appears to be enclosed in glass.

I like it. Stairwells can be prime locations for trouble, so exposing it to the most traveled bit of road in the state is a good thing!

When it was first proposed I i had believed that this campus would have been much better suited somewhere on the peninsula, but now that the LRC been topped off I can say that it's extremely stunning in its current location. Even though it's still just a steel frame it has a strong visual presence from many different vantage points, especially from Back Cove.

I'm sure that the construction workers are enjoying the nice break in the weather....especially for mid-January!

This thing is turning into a beast. Apparently, on the north side it's 8 floors high? I like the views. How could you not? And what's with the parking garage facade? Something artistic going up? The marina and public space will be impressive. And then there is the renovation of the 5-story former baked bean factory building for incubator companies. I think the new Roux is going to have an even bigger impact for the city--nationally and internationally recognized too.

I remembered that a big portion of the new building will be an overhang with a connector closer to the old factory. So what we truly is just "part" of the beast.
