No provisions for a bike path connection to the Cochituate Rail Trail? The existing condition with sharrows on a 4-lane road is not exactly adequate.

Wetlands. It is a little hairy getting to the Chop Shops where you could get into the trail from there but it could be cleaned up a bit so that it's only a few steps.

Personally I'd just live at the Avalon/Cloverleaf instead. That's right on the Trail and as a bonus, it's in Natick instead of Framingham. Probably cheaper too despite being $2500+.

Road noise would be an issue.

5-Story Multifamily Proposed in Framingham​

“Plans are under review for a 5-story multifamily project to replace a vacant warehouse & office building at 180 Franklin Street in Framingham. The new development would include 48 apartments, a mix of 1 & 2 bedrooms ranging in size from 865 to 1,400 square feet. Plans also call for 93 parking spaces and common amenity space.”

The old warehouse here has been demolished and theres excavation going on within the site so it appears like its u/c.

Local Framingham Couple Try To Defend Their Downtown Neighborhood​

“The Planning Board was doing what it could to find the best compromise in a location where the zoning rules allow a maximum height of 6 stories.

A 6 story plan has been whittled to a 5 story plan, with the top floor apartments set back in an attempt to diminish the huge volume of the building. But the new building would still dominate the space.

The building being torn down to make way for the new residential development is a funeral home. Not anyone's ideal choice for a neighbor, but nonetheless arguably the best maintained and most attractive building in the neighborhood. Here is what it looks like today:…..”

Ridiculous. That picture is wildly misleading.

To the left of the funeral home... multiple parking lots. To the right of the house to the right... a tire shop / auto parts store. Across the street... a gas station and used car dealership. The entire area is highly commercial. Oh, and that house to the right appears to have an optometrist's office in it. I'm guessing the couple live in an upstairs apartment or something. In any event, it's a high density commercial area already a block or two from downtown and trying to pretend the neighborhood is being negatively impacted is BS. Build, baby, build.

Yea patch is pretty ridiculous, but that was the only place I found that development. They add so much conjecture theres no good way to just quote the article and what the building entails, but I made sure to quote the part where they mention the building being torn down is a funeral home which isnt anyones ideal choice of neighbor.
