There is a door when you enter Hynes from Mass Ave, at the bottom of the first stair (on the right) that is the tunnel under Mass Ave. It has lately had a "no access/construction" sign and padlocked chain on it during the build of parcel 12.

There's a whole separate set of stairs and a passage at the east end of both platforms that exits to Boylston. They are alarmed and locked except for on Marathon.
