Yea its really hard to find completely up to date aerial pictures unfortunately, but these give a good idea of what the site looks like.

Mods, I think a name change here is warranted given that this thread has been used to cover both Olmsted Green and Olmsted Village...if you would, please rename to Olmsted Green and Olmsted Village | Mattapan.

Olmsted Green Townhomes

This project seems to finally be complete! The last homes along Finch Street and Warbler Way have delivered and street improvements are similarly done. All construction equipment has now been removed.

Olmsted Village

(Planning Department Page)

This project had been approved by the Planning Department back in March. It hasn't mobilized yet, although the pad site for Buildings 3-5 was at least partially completed as part of the Olmsted Green development, and West Main Street has built to eventually extend to Buildings 1 and 2.

Na, no need, this is the Olmsted green thread. Some people had posted some Olmsted village stuff here, but a separate dedicated thread was made for Olmsted village. The Olmsted village thread is here below. Please move the Olmsted village posts to there.

Ah, I had missed that other thread. Just assumed from the Village posts in here that this one was for both projects. Well I had already reached out to get the name changed, but I guess it can be modified again to "Omsted Green Townhomes | Mattapan" or something like that.

Fun fact: even though they had people move in, they still have not registered the new streets with the city of boston - so no one can deliver as the address doesn't show up.

Are they ever going to connect this street and sidewalk or what?

The lot where the street and sidewalks would connect had been one of the only empty lots left in this single family neighborhood, seemingly waiting to be connected, but then 2 years ago they built that new grey house with a garage that encroaches on where the sidewalk would go. Did they change the plans and decide to stop the connection due to nimby pushback and instead build a house? The sidewalk on the left might just barely fit, but on the right side it cant anymore unless they get rid of the green spot between the road and sidewalk, then it might just fit. Is that the plan?

That non connection to the street grid and this one further down are some annoying suburban style breaks in the street grid that shouldnt be happening on any developments built within city limits in the 21st century.

Its even more annoying when its literally just a couple foot break for no reason thats causing ppl to have to walk/bike/drive…etc much farther for no reason.
