The air ducts on this are massive. I thought this was purely office space.

Cant really decide if like this building design or not, guess just happy more large biotech companies staying in Cambridge/Kendall Sq. ...

One thing ill point out is theres always an awkward phase when the cladding is only partially finished. When it first goes on its exciting to see what the cladding looks like, but then it starts just repeating over and over without much changing until you get to some set backs or finally the crown. Right now its the worst its ever gonna look where its not even topped out and only partially clad. After it tops out and as the cladding climbs further and further revealing more of the final form it will look better and will slowly reveal what its going to look like when finished.

Theres been soooooo many times where people (including myself) look at a building thats half clad and go hmm this isnt looking so great, then once its finished say this actually turned out better than I thought. Tale as old as time. Not saying this is going to be a home run or not, just that it will look better than it does now as the cladding climbs further up until finished.

Agree with @stick n move ; this building's case is even further compounded by the fact that there's actually a large three-story open span under the overhang on the right side of the tower in my image that's completely filled in with scaffolding now, but will be open when they're done

Yep, Also right now the cladding is on a part of the building thats essentially just a square but once it gets past the first set back the whole upper part of the tower twists as if it was cut through the middle at the set back and then someone twisted the top half of the tower a few degrees counter clockwise.

I cant find a render from the same angle the pic was taken but this is the closest to it. After the big set back its going to get more interesting.

The renders all make it look like Streamline Moderne as rendered by Nintendo 64. The reality does preserve some of the planar effect around the curves.

They’re setting up a tent for some sort of function on the site.

Some friends at Biogen signed the final beam late last week. I think most of the Cambridge employees did. It's probably a ceremony for that - LinkedIn will probably have the pictures soon lol
