    Crazy Transit Pitches

We can probably expect bus lanes, and some sort of path for bikes and pedestrians. The article states that these are mandated by current MassDOT guidelines: Although it sounds like it theoretically could include rail, that's not mandated, and therefore very unlikely to be funded.

1400 Boylston Street | Star Market & Gulf | Fenway

I don't much care for the first view, viewed from the Riverway. The render looks incredibly fat next to the slender Pierce building. It should compliment the other side of the intersection, to appear like a gateway to the next part of the city. It fails miserably at this function.

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

One big issue in that report is that the consultant who wrote it doesn't understand about the BPS special routes. They show several buses passing through Franklin Park that do so only once a day in each direction, transporting students to Latin Academy. Those buses will not be useful for White...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

And the youth programs are a perfect example of why we want such facilities to be transit adjacent. What's better for teenagers? The field at English School, a block from a T station? Or the field at West Roxbury Educational Complex, sort of near one low frequency bus line?

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Along with the places @king_vibe mentions, they could even play at White Stadium as is, if they had to do so, but I'm pretty sure they want to treat this as a high level professional sports franchise, which means none of those places are suitable without some work.

For what it's worth, the issue seems to have been resolved, at least for me.

    Biking in Boston

Yes, the gaps are definitely one of the larger problems in Boston right now, but my sense is that we are only 2-3 years away from this problem largely being solved. Agreed. Take Columbus Ave., as an example. When the paint lanes between Mass Ave and Dartmouth went in, I switched from riding the...

    Biking in Boston

Agree, on balance it's a good editorial, but I definitely get your point about rubbing the wrong way. Along with what you've mentioned, they give voice to the idea that if you don't see a bike in the bike lane, the infrastructure is not being used. Similarly, they assert that BPS should look at...

Dorchester Bay City (nee Bayside Expo Ctr.) | Columbia Point

And crazy but true, this development is doing just that. This will make Morissey less likely to become a canl.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

No, they wouldn't be in a union, but they almost certainly get some sort of retirement benefit. I have only been in a union job once, and it was brief. But every adult job I've had included a pension. This is especially true in public sector employment. Complete and utter nonsense.

Dorchester Bay City (nee Bayside Expo Ctr.) | Columbia Point

And not to forget, the Expressway is actually on the other side of the station from the location for Dot Bay City, unless we are to accept the assertion that Morissey Blvd is an expressway. Which yeah, maybe, but at the same time, there are facilities for crossing as a pedestrian, and traffic...

@SkyriseCities seems to be AWOL. I thought the entire point of Briv selling the board was to avoid these kinds of absentee ownership instability issues.

    Roslindale Infill and Small Developments

The path that presumably connects to the wetlands is a nice feature. I could be mistaken, but my impression has always been that the only public access was from Coniston Road. This would put an entrance much closer to the Arboretum, providing some synergistic opportunities.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

In case anybody is wondering, the top of the current core is where the office tower section ends, with all of the residential core still to be built.

    Green Line Reconfiguration

The lack of this, is what I don't like about the crossover idea. Why not have C-trains cross over to Backbay, while B-trains stay on the Boylston St. subway? And likewise, we could have E-trains cross-over to Boylston St., while D-trains continue on the Seaport branch routing. If you are coming...

    Patriot Place | Foxboro

The average number of matches at each host site will be 6.5, and Boston's host committee is explicitly lobbying for more. We should be able to provide at least better scheduling for those games...

    Roslindale Infill and Small Developments

I didn't even realize demolition had happened, as I'm rarely on that section of Belgrade Ave. According to Bostonplans, they are not yet in the construction phase, with current status listed simply as approved.

Not one word from @SkyriseCities about this? Are they even aware that the site is kind of broken?

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Although I think this would be amazing, and there definitely are examples of such tunnels elsewhere, a really good interim solution would be expanded ferry service. At a minimum, it shouldn't be seasonal, but better frequency would also be great. The ferry transformed my commute to East Boston...

Yeah, a lot of us are seeing this error. I've found that the initial effort to post is actually going through, despite the error message. Needless to say, this isn't a good thing, because it's clear there is some sort of corruption or incorrect setting in the forum software. I think that it...
