Mostly I was referring to the rather substantial new concrete walls that line the flyover. I would have assumed that regular jersey barriers would have sufficed if they knew it was all coming down in <10 years. But perhaps it is a regulations thing. Edit: Or it could be an engineering thing...

Are we sure they are still doing this? Some of new infrastructure they have recently changed on the flyover looks pricey and permanent.
