Multi-Family Zoning Requirements for MBTA Communities

What you need to understand is that that statement is factually wrong. Demand for housing, including multifamily housing, is extremely high and is outstripping supply everywhere in the Boston metro.

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

I've lost track of the locations that have been looked at but was the Wellington station parking lot ever considered? You could keep the parking lot on the ground floor with the station elevated above, so you still have parking at the station on non event days. The location seems perfect next...

I love how he blurs his own face but not his friend's and calls out his friend's name in the video lol.

Fenway Corners (Red Sox) | 1 Jersey Street | Fenway

It does still include that parking lot, but they haven't released any renders for it. Excited to see what that will look like, but super excited to see the landsdowne portion of the project that will include the air rights parcel too.

Fenway Corners (Red Sox) | 1 Jersey Street | Fenway

Two more renderings from this article: https://www.fastcompany.com/90635270/8-new-buildings-2-1-million-square-feet-fenways-parking-lots-are-about-to-get-a-major-makeover Van Ness looking East across Jersey street, so that would be still open to traffic but heavily pedestrianized...

I like the Barrow plan just because it actually uses nicely scaled buildings that aren't superblocks.

Now I want to know who Zach is and why he thought that was a bad idea.

    11-21 Bromfield Street | DTX | Downtown

I think this is anticipating some neighbor complaints. The "egress corner" of the building is the part that is directly across from 45 province. This should hopefully keep complaints about the new building looking into people's condos to a minimum.

Northern Avenue Bridge Fort Point Channel

Except that the only motor vehicles on this will be busses. The outer sides of it are no more pedestrian unfriendly than the seaport boulevard bridge and the center walkway/park thing shields you from the wind.

Encore Boston Harbor Casino | 1 Broadway | Everett

A couple of problems with this: 1. To get to the parking you'd need to tunnel under the tracks, as the parking is in the basement and there is definately no room on the casino side for a bridge over the tracks+ramp into the basement. 2. The owners of Gateway Center were probably approached...

Hydrogen trains built by Alstom have been run in Germany since last year. That article is about an expansion into Britain https://www.alstom.com/our-solutions/rolling-stock/coradia-ilint-worlds-1st-hydrogen-powered-train

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

A better alternative to batteries that doesn't need overhead wire is hydrogen trains. They are currently being run in Europe to replace diesel service and seeing wider adoption. Don't need the electrical infrastructure, just the new trains and a couple hydrogen filling stations. Also, the D...

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

I think it would be trivial to look at the boarding/unloading data for the gated stations and find heavy abusers. A repeated pattern of the same account swiping in at two stations in the morning or afternoon, even hours apart, that are physically separated by miles would obviously be something...

MGM Music Hall (née Fenway Theater) | 12 Lansdowne St | Fenway

As upset as I am about losing 300 seats, after reviewing the PNF again I found some positives for the changes: 1. The bleachers will now have easy to reach concessions at the top 2. The "function space" balcony will almost certainly be standing room only space during a game, absorbing some of...

One Kenmore Square | 560 Commonwealth Avenue | Kenmore Square

Re: Crossroads at Kenmore | 560 Commonwealth Ave | Kenmore Square It looks like a stalactite fell from the roof of a cave and drove itself into the ground in the middle of Kenmore. Not a huge fan.

I don't believe it's under the part of the garage they are leaving. But I doubt it is more economical to bury it than to re-use the part that they are leaving.
