New Red and Orange Line Cars

I'm so glad to hear this. The Red Line desperately needs more of the new trains.

Cape Cod Rail, Bridges and Highways

It's understandable that he would be opposed to adding more stops because of concerns about travel time, but it's very odd that he would be against increasing train speeds on the Cape. Aside from cost (which is obviously an issue) what other downsides to increasing train speeds does he anticipate?

Cape Cod Rail, Bridges and Highways

Is there any realistic chance of the existing stations in Sandwich and West Barnstable becoming stops on the CapeFlyer within the next decade or so? What are the obstacles to serving these stations?

Acela & Amtrak NEC (HSR BOS-NYP-WAS and branches only)

I had no idea that trains using the current bridge are limited to only 45 MPH. I thought the speed restriction over the bridge was 60 MPH. Does anyone know if this was a recent change?

    Reasonable Transit Pitches

It would be nice to eventually have regional rail between Palmer and Westfield, with a few stations in Springfield, a stop in Wilbraham, and a stop or two in West Springfield. The B&A being owned by CSX would obviously be a big obstacle to implementing any frequent passenger service. (I know...

I really like how Winthrop Center looks up close, but some of the views from far away are kinda unflattering, especially if it's cloudy or overcast. Winthrop looks good from a distance when the sun is shining on it, IMO.
