    45 Mystic Ave | Somerville

I just found the plan set - https://s3.amazonaws.com/somervillema-live/s3fs-public/2024-05/MysticAve45_ZP24-000016_SchematicPlanSet.pdf - and agree wholly that it's a stump. I hope it gets built because it cannot be that expensive of a building.

SAV-MOR Site Lab Building | 15 McGrath Highway | Somerville

I've gone by a few times the past few months on the Somerville Community Path sky bridge - it still looks like the soil is getting removed. Maybe they just stopped very recently?

AC Hotel by Marriott | 1 McGrath Highway | Somerville/Cambridge

I've noticed fencing around the site and some minor work but is this a dead hotel project now?

    45 Mystic Ave | Somerville

I was looking forward to having a pocket park while I wait for Enterprise to give me a car.

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

I only go by every couple months on an excursion to Coolidge Corner - but - i see progress every time. I wonder if work is only done overnight so the Pike can have further restrictions out of precaution.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

This rendering makes me wonder if the triangular sides are just white reflectors for the lighting systems or if they're also coverings for panel type lighting. Either way - i hope the tower owners have cleaning procedures and equipment - the brake and diesel dust will be caked over those...

    MBTA Construction Projects

They actually were sound dampeners to reduce the harsh acoustical echo at stations.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

I think seasoned riders (and a skeptical public) know that "15 or less" with the T is going to be sometimes 7 then 1, 0.2, and then randomly 30 and rarely "15 or less". Even headways on a bus route of 8 to 11 still sounds like austerity planning from the T. There's no reason to accept the T's...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I'm assuming those are foam blocks that may have been used for tunnel protection. Similar to this: https://isolofoam.com/us/product/geofoam/ I know in parts of the south they've begun using foam (yay fossil fuels!) as subgrade base materials especially for highway ramps.

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

It's wild that they couldn't just get a touch on tap pad for temporary use. The need to double tap & wait for a receipt is so wild.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

I'm so sad that 15 minute is our "best" effort here. That would be so laughable in so many countries around the world - from Mexico to Malta - and metros - Denver, Chicago, SF. *SIGH*

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

Yes. It's a planned feature, but, is it going to be rolling out this year? No detail is included in the presentation. Why isnt the Globe's transportation beat reporter asking these accountability questions. Their reporting has been very imprecise and lackluster the last few years.

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

I don't see a "why" for contactless and all-door to be simultaneous. The all-door boarding only needs a reader - it doesn't necessarily have to be a contactless reader. One of the biggest original hype points from the T was the ability to do all-door boarding but they tied this to fare...

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

Did anyone catch when they are going to do all door boarding? If they are pushing that back to trade for contactless payment, they have their priorities backward.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Regular riders aren't going to remember the BNR by the time the T gets to making those changes. I already know a couple people at my bus stop in East Somerville who are shocked that they're cutting the 86 at Harvard and will be forced to transfer to get to Harvard Allston. All they want is a...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

The construction on the hill has lagged a bit and I believe that is why the T cut the 85 short to Bow Street.

    General Boston Discussion

I'm wondering - if this millionaires tax is just 4% on income above $1 million --- how much income does this represent?!

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

I assume it's some security theatre type thing from Homeland Security.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

A dinky almost-loop around the south shore could mean a potential good RL connection at Braintree even before anything that frequent on the Middleboro-Lakeville branch. Could also do a split service on the Kingston-Plymouth Wye if it's a relatively frequent dinky.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

It was for a Yard Lead track and a Union Square branch lead track from the Capuano facility. https://wayback.archive-it.org/6359/20170103132549/http://greenlineextension.eot.state.ma.us/documents/ev_Assess/Volume_2_Figures.pdf#page=23 @bakgwailo is correct that it was removed in the value...
